First off this place is a gem. Its definitely a work in progress but the family who owns/runs it are are just the sweetest and you can tell they put their all into it. Our room was clean, smelled clean and was comfortable. It was like something out of Schitts Creek, very charming

Very kind owners. I locked my keys in my car and the owners and employees fished them out of the window. Good and comfortable rooms.

The owner was very friendly and very accommodating. The room was clean and it was nice and quiet. Great location as far as being close enough to the city but off a main road. All in all I would stay there again. But if you are used to continental breakfast and room service, this is not the place for you. It is just a nice clean room to stay in when you need one.

This hotel was absolutely lovely nice room great price. My fiance and i booked a 3 night weekend for our 7 year anniversary and we had a blast. The hotel was conveniently located right off the highway and a very helpful sign right on the left that tells you where to turn. This sign helped us a lot. 👍 We checked out all kinds of trails and tons of food and things to do not far from the hotel. We will definitely return again. The family that runs the hotel are the sweetest people i have ever met. Best hotel for a great price and close to Hocking Hills.

Very nice people, very clean comfortable room. We stayed here one night, king bed very comfortable, ac was very good. Room had small fridge and microwave. We would stay again if in area.

I first visited here six years ago, and now over the years have stayed at the Hometown Inn almost two dozen times. I usually take motorcycle trips down here from Toledo but have at times driven here and have brought family as well as friends along. This is a good, family-owned hotel with a great location. It is an older building with a travel lodge style, which I love, and they maintain nice clean rooms. Over these years I have watched them put a lot of money into continuous updates/upgrades. When I arrived last week, they were just finishing replacing all of the carpeting, furniture, lighting, and in the room where I stayed was a new sink and marble countertop. I have stayed at several hotels that have similar rates and there is no comparison. I will continue to recommend this hotel.

Simple and unassuming, but very clean, quiet, safe and well- run. The rooms are a good size, with comfortable beds and good hot showers. The family that runs it takes pride and provide great service. It's just a few minutes from Athens, very convenient. And the price is great value, specially if you book through them directly. I would stay here again next time I'm in the area.

I booked a room here because it was the cheapest around. I 100% did not have high expectations. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the room was. The bed was super comfortable, the place was quiet, and it is close to downtown Athens. The only negative was that there are no pretty views, and since i am the type to sit outside and read, it was a little disappointing that this wasn’t an option. But still, that is an insignificant “problem”. I would stay here again. I am a big fan of skimping on hotel rooms so i can use my money on other things, and by far this was the nicest “cheap” room I’ve stayed in.
